Gosh dang it! It's been a long time since I've blogged! Prepare yourself for a long, boring, picture overloaded post.
Two days before Val turned 3 months old, I took her to get her ears pierced. Shane didn't want me to, but I really just had to. She cried a lot, but by the end of the day was her happy self again! (And since then Shane has forgiven me and he even thinks they're cute!)
We took Valarie to Scheel's. It was our first time going. We loved it, but Val wasn't amused.
My parents bought a new ottoman, it seems to be the perfect place for Val to nap. (I kid.)
We hung out with our good friends Caity, Ben, and Isobel. Izzy accidentally hit Val's eye and it scared her. She didn't mean any harm, but Valarie took it very personally, haha.
I started teaching preschool, so Val and I have to start waking up early two days a week. She's not used to it yet and does not like it. (Normal wake up time for her is 8am.)
Valarie loves her friends, Keeten and Kenzie!
(I have the cutest picture of Kenzie and Val together, but my computer won't save it. So very frustrating!)
We love swinging together!
We're still very much in love!
Sometimes Val gets sick of me. . .
Shane is still looking good and doing great! He's working hard at ADP and finishing up school. As long as everything goes as planned, he should have his Bachelor's by summer!
Valarie's starting to refuse naps during the day and usually crashes sometime in the evening.
Val's acid reflux has gotten so bad that not only was she put on medication, but she's began seeing a chiropractor. She's been going three days a week, but hasn't gone long enough for us to see improvement yet. Hopefully she starts showing signs of improvement soon because I'm getting tired of not only her, but her toys, blankets, play mats, and me all getting drenched in spit up daily.
My aunt and uncle have a farm, so we got to go to their pumpkin patch and pick out Val's very first pumpkin!
Valarie got to meet Marci and Andrew's big Great Dane, Brutus. She wasn't too fond of him.
Valarie has started to sing back to me when I sing to her, and talk to not only us, but her stuffed animals also!
We got our family photos taken. I've only seen a sneak peek of them, so this is all I can share at the moment. Of course I'll share more once we get them all.
My parents, Marci and her girls, and Valarie and I all went to Gardner Village to see the witches a couple weeks ago. What fun it was!
(This picture won't save either, so sad!)
Last week Shane and I got to go on a date without Valarie! Our first one since July! My parents watched Val while we went to Texas Roadhouse and then saw Gravity, (amazing movie, in case you were wondering.)
My little miss had her four month check up last week! She is in the 57% for weight and I think it's the 84% for height. She is growing great and the doctor said she's ready to start food. I don't know if I'm ready for that yet so we haven't given it a go, but I'm doing the grocery shopping tomorrow, and if I'm feeling good, I may just come home with some rice cereal!
Valarie is also rolling now, pretty much all the time. The other day I put her on her play mat, closed my eyes for no longer than five minutes, and when I opened them she was across the room by the tv! The girl army crawled there! I'm not ready for a mobile baby yet, she needs to slow down!
Valarie and I love to watch The Magic School Bus and Arthur together. She loves the colors, and it's two kid shows I actually enjoy. She also loves looking at books, baby dolls, and bouncing in her bouncer. She's always been such a kicker, that when she's in it she seriously goes crazy!
We have a trip to Park City planned for November and I can't wait! We'll be hanging out with my family, celebrating Thanksgiving and our second anniversary, and doing some Christmas shopping!
I seriously can't wait for Christmas! It really is so much more fun with a kid! (I can't wait for when it's exciting for her, too!)
I don't think anything else has really happened to us that's worth putting into my blog post, (not that any of this is even that exciting, I just like updating family that lives far away on our lives.)
I love having a baby and love watching her grow and become more and more awesome everyday!
