The Zoo!

We went to the zoo with the Wilshers for Caity's birthday! It was Isobel's first time and val's second. We all had a lot of fun!

Happy birthday Caity!

Picture Dump

Just some random pictures of some random fun we've had the past couple of months.

I'm part of a mommy group on facebook of ladies who all had babies around the same time. We got to meet two of the little ones!

I love those two little piggies!

Brooklyn and Valarie trying on the preschool graduation gowns.

I think Isobel was more excited for Menchies than Val.

Val liked the aquarium, but she definitely didn't love it.

A Kick to The Face

In May we had a preschool fieldtrip to the farm and Valarie got to go! She loved seeing all the animals and being around all the kids!

See those mini horses? She was watching them and one got spooked. It kicked a horse and that mini horse backed up and kicked Val. . . right in the face. I remember thinking when I picked her up that her face was going to be smashed it. It terrified me. Luckily two of the preschool moms were nurses so they helped me with Val. Shortly after I took her to the doctor just to make sure she didn't have a concussion. She was fine, it was just a scary experience and made me feel so sad that she was so hurt!

Here's where she was kicked. It looked a lot worse in person, but surprisingly, it didn't really bruise.

After the doctor visit and some medicine, she was her happy self again!

Happy Birthday Valarie!

My little girl is one, and this post is a month late! Here's what we did for Val's birthday:

The Sunday before we had a party at the Randall's with Shane's family. They made it a circus theme, it was pretty cute and Valarie had a blast!

On Valarie's actual birthday we had donut bites for breakfast and hung out with dad while he worked from home. Val had her first happy meal for lunch, and then when Shane got off work we went to Build A Bear and let Val pick out whichever animal she wanted. She chose an orange kitty, (of course a cat,) and we ended the night with cake at her best friend Isobel's house!

The Saturday after Val's birthday, we had the Hermansen party at our house. We also had her few little friends come to that one. We themed it rainbow colors and had a lot of fun. Val got completely spoiled!

What a great week it was celebrating the birth of Valarie! I can't believe my baby is already one! What a crazy, amazing, difficult year it's been, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
