Weekends!

Yay for weekend wear!

Friday night, the nieces slept over. We had fun!

 Spaghetti for dinner!
(The girls were watching a movie and wouldn't pay attention to the camera. I promise they were happy.)

Bed jumping!

The Current Playlist

The following is a list of my current top 10 songs and why.

In no Particular Order:

1. Lily Allen's "Never Gonna Happen."
Not only is the chorus extremely catchy, it's super fun to sing to and you can't help but sing it in an accent!

2. Greg Laswell's "Comes and Goes.
This song is calming. Yes.

3. Owl City's "Vanilla Twilight."
Super sweet song, great lyrics, fills me with emotions. I love it.

4. Katie Herzig's "Sweeter Than This."
Very uplifting, is currently my ringtone.

5. Repo! The Genetic Opera's "Genetic Repo Man."
I always have a song from a soundtrack in my top ten. Always. At the moment, it just happens to be this one, which is great because it wakes me up on my way to work in the mornings.

6. The Secret Handshake's "TGIF."
Because now I'm old enough to drive, no one can keep me inside.

7. The Verve Pipe's "The Freshman."
This song is just a tad depressing, but it's wonderfully written and pleasing to the ears.

8. The Aquabats, "Radio Down."
This is my husband's music, so when I listen to it, it reminds me of him and makes me smile, (and sometimes dance.)

9. The Knife's "You Make Me Like Charity."
This song is a love it or hate it song. Most will hate it, but I love it. You must listen to understand what I mean.

10. Bishop Allen's "Click Click Click Click."
The lyrics make me laugh.

Fun at the Fair!

Saturday, September 8th, I went to the Utah State Fair with Shane, Brooklyn and her friend Britlyn, and my friend Alexis. We ate food, shopped, people watched, and had a blast! Brooklyn and Britlyn decided to go on rides so they weren't with us most of the time.

 Sexy boy!

 Friendship bracelets!

Brooklyn feeling sick after all the rides.

This picture was taken at the exact right moment.
And by accident.

 "Touch me."

Meant to improve circulation, but really just jiggled your bum.

 Best lip scrub!

 Shane bought a poncho!

We bought some delicious lemonade!

Sunday Driving

August 26 we gave Brooklyn a driving lesson.

We also took some pictures of just us, to be fun.

Just A Few

Found a few pictures on my computer that I forgot about.
These were all taken in July this year.

We got bored one night so we decorated our eggs.

 Hanging out at grandma's house.

 Playing guitar.

I made the coolest straw ever, but it didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

Cars, Cars, Cars

We just bought a truck.

Yeah we're crazy. No, not because we bought a truck, but because we have gone through so many vehicles in the past year. We didn't lose any, it was all on our terms. We just had different reasons for each car. How about we go through them, just for fun. Yes? (I have no pictures of the first few, sorry!)

Pepper
This was the car Shane had while we were dating. She was a beautiful, black Scion Tc, (I think??) The only reason we got rid of her was because he owed a lot on her and we weren't sure if we could afford a car payment after we got married. So we gave Pepper to his sister and she took over the loan for us. In return, she gave us a super ugly, but running and paid off car named Saffron.

Molly
She was the black Aveo I had bought a few years before we started dating. She was cute, but a little crappy. She was paid off, but had a lot of problems. We got rid of her in January 2012.

Saffron
She was ugly and I didn't like her. We ended up selling her back to Shane's sister in June 2012, (we were going to just trade her in somewhere, but his sister wanted her back.)

Ruby
She was the motorcycle Shane had bought a week before we started dating. We got rid of her in June 2012 because she made our insurance skyrocket and she was difficult. (You could only drive her in certain weather conditions and we had nowhere to store her.) She was red and so fun, but we just didn't need her.

Finnegan
Finn for short. We traded in Molly and got him in January 2012. He was a purple Nissan Cube, had great gas mileage, and no problems. He was adorable and I loved him. We ended up trading him in for a truck last weekend because he was the worse of the two cars we had at the time, (worse meaning he was basic and had no extras.) I loved him.

Miley
We got her in June 2012, she is not named after Miley Cyrus. She is a white Nissan Cube and she has all the extras. She's also newer than Finn was, (which is also why we traded in Finn and not her.) She is what I am currently driving.

Wendy
National Auto Plaza offered to buy Finn from us for what we owed on him, which was fantastic because every other dealer offered us $5,000 less. However, it was a big mistake. They lied to us about a lot of things and then sold us a truck, (Wendy,) that had problems the day after we took it home. They told us we had seven days to return it, (because we were so hesitant to buy it anyway,) and when we brought it back two days later they said our Cube was already sold and we can exchange it for something else, but we can't just return it because that's wasting their time. We had four, yes four, different salesmen yell at us. YELL. It was ridiculous. Anyway, Wendy was the truck we first came home with.

Buzz
Buzz is named after the first salesman who yelled at us. We picked him up last night, and he seemed great for the first few minutes, but then he started sounding weird, (not at all like when we test drove him.) Shane took him into a car place this morning and we found out there's an internal problem that will cost at least $500 to fix. I am so furious and fed up National Auto Plaza, I can't even express it in words. Once we get this truck fixed all will be ok, this is just a joke. I hate dealing with this idiotic place.

If you learn anything from this post, it's that NATIONAL AUTO PLAZA IS THE WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD and you should NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THEM! EVER!

Facebook

You will no longer find me on Facebook.

After a long talk with the husband Sunday night, I realized I had an unhealthy addiction to this site. It was causing me to constantly compare my worst to other people's best. It was impossible for me to be happy because everyone on Facebook seemed to have no problems. (Of course, no normal person is going to post their problems and flaws on Facebook for everyone to see.) So I have deactivated my account. Yes, deactivated, not deleted. I plan on going back eventually, but it will be in the far future. For now I'm just going to take time to appreciate what I have and stop worrying so much about other people's lives.
