Trimester Two

The first trimester was not an easy one.

It's hard being told you're going to gain weight (when you really want to lose,)
and that you have to be ok with it.

I could barely function I was so tired all the time!

I had a constant fear of miscarrying.

I couldn't tell anyone!! (This killed me!)

I threw up every single Monday, the rest of the week was dry
heaving and feeling nauseous all day.

The only food that settled my stomach was potatoes.

Now I'm on my second trimester!

I wake up several times during the night, I never feel rested. . .
. . . so exhaustion is even worse now.

Nausea only hits late at night.

We finally told people we're expecting, YAY!

I'm still scared of miscarriage, but not as much as I was.

I haven't "popped" yet, I'm just getting chubby, (bummer.)

Fun Fact:

I have 15 other friends on facebook who are pregnant and due between March and July.

A Baby!?

Yes!

I am Pregnant!!

Shane and I found out when I was only 5 weeks along.

It wasn't a surprise because we were trying, but it was and still is super exciting!

I'm now 13 weeks,
due June 2, 2013!

We find out the gender on December 18th,
(I want a boy, Shane wants a girl, but we'll both be happy with whatever we get.)

I have no awesome ultrasound picture to show yet because the only one I've had was when I was 7 weeks, so you can't even tell it's a baby yet, (it looks like a jelly bean!)

We heard the heartbeat today, and while we were listening with the doppler, we heard a big thump. The doctor let us know that that was the baby kicking the doppler! (Awwww so cute!)

We can't wait to be parents!

Happy Halloween!

So Halloween was fun!

The day before Halloween Shane and I decided to make caramel apples! We made seven, two for us and five to take to my parent's house. By the time we were done making them we didn't even want them anymore, (so we have yet to eat ours.) We then cuddled while watching The Woman In Black, it wasn't that great, but it's hard finding PG-13 scary movies these days. We ended the night with a few episodes of 30 Rock.

Halloween day I got off work early so I was able to get some errands done before heading over to my parents. Once at my parents we ate chili and breadsticks, (even though it was warm enough for a bbq,) and then my dad, Magda, and I turned on a scary movie, (Shane wasn't there, he was at work.) We got about 15 minutes in before realizing it was very rated R and we were no longer interested in watching it. We turned the movie off and then just hung out, relaxed, and answered the door for adorable little trick-or-treaters. My nieces also came over and showed off their costumes! Shane got off early so he surprised me at my parents house with ice cream sandwiches, (as if we weren't eating enough sugar already!) We enjoyed them and then we went home. Once home Shane opened his gift from me, (which wasn't so much of a Halloween gift, it was a "sorry I've been moody lately," gift.) And after that we talked until we fell asleep for the night.

It was a good holiday. (Pictures to come!)

Here and There

It's hard working 8am -5pm when you're exhausted and don't feel well, not to mention I get to go to job #2 right after this one. I need to start getting to bed earlier.

It's October! What a great month! The leaves are changing, scary movies are coming out, corn mazes and pumpkin patches open, and the temperatures outside begin to drop. I love this month. I am so excited for hoodies, apple cider, and trick-or-treaters!

In November we are moving! Woo hoo! We're actually moving all of our things into a storage unit and then staying with my parents, but just until February. It's not what we had planned; the place we're going to move into was going to be available in December, and now it's not, but our lease will be up soon and we don't want to renew. So we're just going to crash at mom and dad's and save a few dollars before moving into our new place that we are so very excited for!

I love my husband! It's been almost a year since we got married and we have yet to have our first fight, or go a day without seeing each other since our first date. He makes me smile so easily, and he can always make me feel better when I'm grumpy or down. He has so much patience with me, I couldn't have married a better man! I cherish every moment we spend together. I just love Shane so much that I can't believe I haven't exploded because of all the love for him inside me!

Friday night, the nieces slept over. We had fun!

 Spaghetti for dinner!
(The girls were watching a movie and wouldn't pay attention to the camera. I promise they were happy.)

Fun at the Fair!

Saturday, September 8th, I went to the Utah State Fair with Shane, Brooklyn and her friend Britlyn, and my friend Alexis. We ate food, shopped, people watched, and had a blast! Brooklyn and Britlyn decided to go on rides so they weren't with us most of the time.

 Sexy boy!

 Friendship bracelets!

Brooklyn feeling sick after all the rides.

This picture was taken at the exact right moment.
And by accident.

 "Touch me."

Meant to improve circulation, but really just jiggled your bum.

 Best lip scrub!

 Shane bought a poncho!

We bought some delicious lemonade!

Sunday Driving

August 26 we gave Brooklyn a driving lesson.

We also took some pictures of just us, to be fun.

Playing Catch Up

My adorable little niece turned 3 years old on August 11th! She is such a cute girly! She had a Phineas and Ferb birthday party, (but sadly Shane and I missed it because of work.) We gave her a guitar that looks like a dog, it's pretty much awesome and I may or may not have played with it a lot before giving it to her.

Last week I'd been having a rough day, and when I got home from work I found my husband with some Diet Coke, movie tickets, and flowers! Isn't he the greatest? We saw Step Up 4, (something I'd been wanting to see for a while.) It was exactly what is expected of a 4th movie - bad acting and crap story line. HOWEVER, it's worth seeing just for the dancing, which is incredible!

Shane and I both work between 55 and 60 hours a week, and it blows! We were so spoiled when we first got married! We made great money and never worked nights or weekends, but things have changed now and sadly, we only get 2-3 nights a week together. So when we do have a night off we like to go on dates! Usually they consist of dinner at Sizzler and a movie. It's not much, but it's enough for us. (And the food at Sizzler is the best! Shane always gets the steak and endless and shrimp, while I get grilled salmon and rice. It's an amazing meal, especially for the price!!)

Shane and I love art and colors, so the other day we bought some canvases, painter's tape, and paint. We painted some awesome pictures to hang once we're in our new place. Unfortunately, the only picture I have of them right now is while we were painting them. I will post a picture of the finished products once I take one.

We get bored of the same things fast, so over the weekend we moved our family room to the bedroom and bedroom to the family room. It's awesome and we figured, why not?? If we don't do it now, we never will!

Birthday Boy!

Shane turned 25 years old on July 28th. He didn't want to spend a lot of money going anywhere, so we did a lot of little things during the day.

He chose to open his gifts first.

I told Shane he could have whatever he wanted for breakfast. He chose to have cereal in ice cream. He wanted to eat it in the bathroom instead of in bed.

We went to some garage sales, but didn't see anything very awesome.

We went on a target run for one thing, and came home with a lot more.

We got a roll of toilet paper and taped it to our friend's door who lives a couple doors down from us. That's the only way you can toilet paper an apartment.

New chairs! They are comfy!

We had a 90 minute nerf gun fight with Shane's new guns, and then we shot at the balcony door for an hour.

It was really fun!

We decorated an entire pair of Shane's pants while we watched The Three Musketeers.

I gave Shane a mermaid tattoo.

Shane drew a copy of a painting we saw at a garage sale. It was hilarious and I wanted to buy it, but Shane said no. 10 points if you can tell what it is.

Dinner at Red Lantern, yum!!

It was raining when we got home from dinner, so we waited it out in the car.

We set up our tent in the family room and camped out in it that night.

I planned a surprise party for Shane. He had no idea and was indeed surprised when we got to my parent's house and everyone was there. It was a fun event, almost all of our closest friends were there.

We had a fun, busy, exhausting day!

Happy 25th Birthday to my handsome husband, Shane! I love him more than anything and am so happy he was brought into this world! I don't know what I would do without him!
