The first trimester was not an easy one.
It's hard being told you're going to gain weight (when you really want to lose,)
and that you have to be ok with it.
I could barely function I was so tired all the time!
I had a constant fear of miscarrying.
I couldn't tell anyone!! (This killed me!)
I threw up every single Monday, the rest of the week was dry
heaving and feeling nauseous all day.
The only food that settled my stomach was potatoes.
Now I'm on my second trimester!
I wake up several times during the night, I never feel rested. . .
. . . so exhaustion is even worse now.
Nausea only hits late at night.
We finally told people we're expecting, YAY!
I'm still scared of miscarriage, but not as much as I was.
I haven't "popped" yet, I'm just getting chubby, (bummer.)
Fun Fact:
I have 15 other friends on facebook who are pregnant and due between March and July.

A Baby!?
Yes!
I am Pregnant!!
Shane and I found out when I was only 5 weeks along.
It wasn't a surprise because we were trying, but it was and still is super exciting!
I'm now 13 weeks,
due June 2, 2013!
We find out the gender on December 18th,
(I want a boy, Shane wants a girl, but we'll both be happy with whatever we get.)
I have no awesome ultrasound picture to show yet because the only one I've had was when I was 7 weeks, so you can't even tell it's a baby yet, (it looks like a jelly bean!)
We heard the heartbeat today, and while we were listening with the doppler, we heard a big thump. The doctor let us know that that was the baby kicking the doppler! (Awwww so cute!)
We can't wait to be parents!

Emotions
I went crazy last night.
I had worked 9 hours at my day job and had to go straight to my night job.
The traffic was terrible.
Breaking Dawn Part 2 came out and since my second job is right by the theater, it was near impossible to find a parking spot.
I was almost late, (and I am NEVER late!)
There were only three of us working when there should have been five, (we didn't realize it would be so busy, party after party of women. Stupid Twilight.)
I was scheduled 6-10pm. I didn't get off until 11:15pm.
The only good news: Shane came and visited me. He ate food and I was able to snack off of his plate while we waited for my food, (we ordered it to go so I could eat it when I got home.)
I ordered a malibu chicken and a california malibu chicken, (I'd been craving this chicken all day long and was so excited!)
Side note: A malibu chicken is a fried chicken breast with swiss cheese, ham, and sauce on top. A california malibu is a grilled chicken breast with swiss cheese, ham, sliced avocado, and sauce on top.
We got my food. It was a calfiornia malibu without the avocado and sauce, and a steak.
A steak?! WHAT?!
We told my manager. They said they'd fix it. Never did.
I got home and threw away my food in anger and then cried. Yes, a bit dramatic, but I was tired and really looking forward to my chickens!!
My husband is a trooper. He just let me cry and tickled my back until I felt better. I'm so lucky. How he puts up with me I'll never know, but I sure appreciate him and all he does.

Four More Years
How I feel about Obama's re-election:
- I was excited it was over, because that meant no more political facebook posts, but the posts about the outcome are even more annoying!! It will never end!!
- It's only four years. We should survive.
- If the world ends on December 21st and we don't survive, I'll be ok with that.
- Just because I support Romney, does not mean I am against everything Obama is for.
- Frustrated because I feel like my very hard earned money goes to someone who's too lazy to earn money for themselves. It's called a job, get one. If that doesn't support you, get four, like my husband and I have.
- I wish I could move to New Zealand for four years. Hey I have family there, maybe they'll let us come stay with them!
- I hope and pray Obama proves all of us Romney supporters wrong and turns this country around like he says he will.
- I'm cold. And tired of whining and cockiness. Get over what you can't change.

Date Night!
I get so excited when Shane and I have dates planned!
We love Chinese food, but haven't had it in so long, so we decided on that for dinner last night! We went to Fortune Cookie, it's an awesome restaurant in Riverton. I love it because you can get a Bento Box for cheap, (you get salad, fried rice, pot stickers, a main dish, AND soup!!)
After our DELICIOUS meal, we went to the movies! We saw a movie I've been dying to see since I first heard about it months ago!
It's about a freshman who is struggling with making friends AND overcoming his past. Two seniors befriend him and give him a great high school experience. It was full of a lot of emotion, which I wasn't expecting. I hate to admit it, but I did cry several times. . . Overall it was a great movie that I really recommend you see!
We also split an Icee at the theater, I was craving something cold, but not a drink. It was delicious! Mmmm!

Happy Halloween!
So Halloween was fun!
The day before Halloween Shane and I decided to make caramel apples! We made seven, two for us and five to take to my parent's house. By the time we were done making them we didn't even want them anymore, (so we have yet to eat ours.) We then cuddled while watching The Woman In Black, it wasn't that great, but it's hard finding PG-13 scary movies these days. We ended the night with a few episodes of 30 Rock.
Halloween day I got off work early so I was able to get some errands done before heading over to my parents. Once at my parents we ate chili and breadsticks, (even though it was warm enough for a bbq,) and then my dad, Magda, and I turned on a scary movie, (Shane wasn't there, he was at work.) We got about 15 minutes in before realizing it was very rated R and we were no longer interested in watching it. We turned the movie off and then just hung out, relaxed, and answered the door for adorable little trick-or-treaters. My nieces also came over and showed off their costumes! Shane got off early so he surprised me at my parents house with ice cream sandwiches, (as if we weren't eating enough sugar already!) We enjoyed them and then we went home. Once home Shane opened his gift from me, (which wasn't so much of a Halloween gift, it was a "sorry I've been moody lately," gift.) And after that we talked until we fell asleep for the night.
It was a good holiday. (Pictures to come!)
