I found carters.com. It taught me that girl clothes are cuter than boy clothes! I also learned that you can make a wish list on that site, and mine is a mile long.
I am so tired of working two jobs, but I have to keep it up! Not because we need the money, but because I haven't decided where I'll be working after the baby is born. Until I decide that, I can't quit either job. (frown.)
Turkey avocado sandwiches are the most amazing sandwiches and I can't eat enough of them right now!
Why is it that I want to sleep all day long, but once bedtime comes all I want to do is watch Breaking Bad?
What will our baby's name be? Hmmmm, baby names. . .baby names. . . maybe Rylee, Tyson, Amanda, Gage, Holly, Evan, Emma, Stephen, Pearl, Adam, Avery, Trey, Selena, Asher, Jenna, Xavier, Wendy, Oliver, Adriana, Leavitt, Bailee, Jaden, Karli, or Marvin. . .
. . . Just kidding. We already have a girl and boy name picked out. I may tell it to you in person, but I'm not posting it online just yet.
I hope if I ever get jury duty it's for something good! Maybe not a murder, but attempted murder or arson, that would be pretty cool!
I really don't know what to write about. My eyes, MY EYES, are trying to shut, but I have to keep telling them to stay the heck open because I'm at work and this is NO time for naps!

Date Night!
I get so excited when Shane and I have dates planned!
We love Chinese food, but haven't had it in so long, so we decided on that for dinner last night! We went to Fortune Cookie, it's an awesome restaurant in Riverton. I love it because you can get a Bento Box for cheap, (you get salad, fried rice, pot stickers, a main dish, AND soup!!)
After our DELICIOUS meal, we went to the movies! We saw a movie I've been dying to see since I first heard about it months ago!
It's about a freshman who is struggling with making friends AND overcoming his past. Two seniors befriend him and give him a great high school experience. It was full of a lot of emotion, which I wasn't expecting. I hate to admit it, but I did cry several times. . . Overall it was a great movie that I really recommend you see!
We also split an Icee at the theater, I was craving something cold, but not a drink. It was delicious! Mmmm!

Mexican Riviera Cruise
So we went on our cruise with my family June 10 through the 17. It was one of the best vacations I have ever been on! Everyday we ate as if we would never be eating again, (we each gained 4ish pounds. . . not as bad as we thought we did, but WAY too much to gain in one week!!)
We went to many broadway style shows, comedy shows, and parties up on the deck.
In Cabo we went parasailing, snorkeling, and played in the ocean waves. It was a blast and made me want to live by the ocean!
In Puerto Vallarta we did 10 ziplines through the jungle, jumped off some rocks into water, (doesn't sound cool, but it was,) played with a baby alligator, went to a local fruit stand and ate some amazing fruit, did tons of shopping, and played on the beach.
The only things that sucked during the cruise was I fell down some stairs in Cabo and scraped up my leg, slipped and fell on a huge rock in Puerto Vallarta and bruised my knees and wrist, our second day in Cabo had to be cancelled due to weather conditions, and I got strep throat. Other than that, it was an awesome vacation. One that I will never forget!

How to be Happy
Okay, I will admit it. I have always struggled with being happy. I am not social, I am not outgoing, I am not a genius or exciting person. I often look at the negative things and forget the simple yet amazing things around me. I focus and worry too much about what others think about me instead of having fun. Being happy comes so easy for some people, but for me, it's a lot of work.
That being said, I feel the need to make a list. A list of things that make me happy. A list I can look back to when I'm struggling or just feeling down. But the list can't be too complicated, too thought out. The simpler, the better. So here we go. A list of 10 (because no one wants to read more than that,) things that make me happy.
1. The obvious, my husband. He works so hard to make sure I am happy. I need to acknowledge and appreciate him more often, for he is so good to me and loves me so much. I love him too you know.
2. My family. They do so much for me. My parents are always giving me advice, my brothers and sisters are always so willing to hang out or just chat with me, and my nieces who get so excited every time I see them. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life.
3. Crafting, AKA The Wood Connection and Hobby Lobby. I love painting, I love mod podge, and I love ribbon. Making crafts make me happy. Especially when the project is finished and I love it. (See the 'Randall' in the picture? Yeah I made that.)
4. Homemade pizza. Especially when my man puts messages on it.
5. An awesome pair of shoes. Shoes always fit, shoes always look good. Shoes aren't depressing when you have to go up a size, even if it is just because that brand runs small.
6. Warm weather. The warmer, the better. There are so many good things to do in warm weather; picnics, bike rides, boating, etc. Pure bliss it is.
7. Entertainment. I love music; The Weepies, Joshua Radin, Mika, etc. I love movies; 500 Days of Summer, Like Crazy, I'm Reed Fish, etc. I love TV; Malcolm in The Middle, Grounded for Life, Community, etc. Entertainment is good.
8. Vacations. They can be last minute, planned forever, far away or really close. I don't care. A vacation is a vacation. They are always adventurous.
9. Making treats. I haven't done anything in a very very long time, (awww that makes me sad.) But I love chocolate dipping and decorating things. See that picture down there? Those are plain wafer cookies that I did all by myself. Not pro, but not bad.
10. Diet Coke, need I say more?
Well that wasn't simple at all. I apologize for the lengthiness.

My Husband, The Romantic
On February first, Shane and I were watching Smallville and eating dinner when the doorbell rang. It was so strange because no one ever comes over. I was hesitant to answer because I looked through the peep hole and no one was there. I opened it anyway, and sitting on our doormat was this:
I started going, "awwww" and "oh no!" because I thought someone was asking a person to Sweethearts and asked the wrong place by mistake. I started freaking out, telling Shane we need to go through all of the pennies until we find out who this person is. And then we need to find them on facebook asap and tell them they asked the wrong person. So our search began. We went through almost ALL of the pennies before we finally found the name. It looked like this:
I told Shane, "Holy cow, isn't that funny that this person has the same name as you?!" He started laughing and told me that this Shane was him, that he was the one asking me to a dance. Awwww, my husband was putting a dance together for me!
On February 13th, (because I had to work late on the 14th,) Shane left to get ready and I got ready at home. At 6:30pm, he arrived at the door with the biggest corsage I have ever seen in my life! It was bigger than my hand! But it was awesome!
We left for dinner, but Shane wouldn't tell me where we were going. He said it was awesome and we had reservations, but he still refused to tell me where we were going. We got to the freeway and he realized he didn't have his wallet. SERIOUSLY?! I didn't have mine either, so we had to turn around and race home as fast as we could. We got to the apartment and went inside, and there was this:
(Don't worry Shane didn't decorate it, that was from a dinner a few nights before.) Shane had his sister set up a candlelit dinner in our apartment with food from our favorite place, The Red Lantern. It was so sweet and Shane couldn't have chosen anywhere better for dinner. We ate. . .
And then we left for the dance. Shane made me keep my eyes closed the entire time. He drove weird ways just to throw off the route so that I didn't know where we were going. Once we got there, he lead me up a driveway, up some stairs, and then down some stairs. We then went around a corner and I opened my eyes. Here is what I saw:
Shane had put together a private dance just for us in the Pike's basement! We slow danced, fast danced, jumped around, played with the balloons, and goofed off for two hours.
It was so much fun and I couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's day! Shane is so thoughtful and so amazing! I love him and everything he does for me, he makes me so happy, and I feel so lucky to call myself his wife!

Happy Birthday!
I turned 22 on January 30, 2012. We celebrated with Shane's family earlier in the month by having a Wonder Woman party, (Shane and his family like superheroes.) We celebrated with my family by having homemade Chinese and playing Just Dance 3 on the 29th, and on the 30th Shane and I celebrated. When I got home from work Shane gave me my gifts. They were all so perfect. I got some awesome necklaces with matching earrings, a beautiful locket that has a picture of us inside, an amazing and very thoughtful blanket that is covered in pictures of us, and tons of Diet Coke, (woo hoo!) We went out to eat at the Red Lantern, and then we went home and watched Stupid, Crazy, Love. It was a perfect birthday and I loved every minute of it!

12.01.2011
The day of the wedding was so great! My aunt Jessica came over in the morning to do my hair, my little sister Brooklyn did my makeup, and Rocco came over and videoed. It was so exciting!
Usually I text Shane when I wake up in the mornings, but I was so busy that I just didn't. My mom and I gathered everything we needed and showed up at the temple at 10:30am. A few minutes after we arrived Shane came running in with wet hair and tired eyes. He had slept in!! I am SOOO glad he woke up in time to make it, I would have thought I was getting stood up! Anyway, we did the sealing and everything went perfectly. We then went outside to do pictures. It was SO windy and SO cold, but my adrenaline was pumping so much that I didn't notice the freezing temperature. After the pictures, we went to the Red Lantern where we had our luncheon with those who came to the temple. We then went back to the apartment and watched Smallville and fell asleep until the reception. At 4:00pm, we went to Magnolia Grove to take pictures. We then celebrated our wedding with all of our friends at the reception. Besides the insane wind outside, not one thing went wrong. Absolutely everything was perfect!! We are so in love and so happy together, and we are so grateful for everyone who shared our special day with us!!
(These pictures were taken by my mom, the professional one will be posted once we receive them!)
