Well there's not much to do at work while the little man is napping, so I decided to write a blog post. I do love blogging, the only problem is, my life is not that exciting. Most of what happens is not blog worthy, (which is why I have less than two frequent readers, meaning I have one reader, me.) I'm not social, I don't have friends, I don't have money to do exciting and expensive things. My life has got to be one of the most boring lives out there, (the only thing that is exciting about it is my amazing husband. He's the greatest!) I don't know how else to explain to you just how boring my life is, but to write you out a schedule showing a typical day for me.
4:50am Three annoying alarms go off, so Shane and I say our prayers and then shower. He gets ready for work and leaves, and I go back to bed.
8:00am-10:00am (Depending on what time I work.) Stumble out of bed and do hair and makeup. Eat either fruit loops or a smoothie, put shoes on and leave the apartment.
I then stop at the gas station for a diet coke, (yes, I am an addict.)
Drive to work in Pleasant Grove, singing at the top of my lungs. I get nervous about the construction making me late so I always leave an hour early for work, even though it takes 40 minutes on average to get there. When I arrive early, I park around the corner and play on my phone until it's time to work.
12:00pm Let's say today I work at noon. So I arrive and give the little boy I watch his lunch. We then watch an episode of Curious George while playing with cars. We sometimes color and do puzzles, and we always read books. If it's nice weather we go for a walk or swing.
2:45pm Pick the other boy I watch up from school in Lehi. Sometimes we stop on the way home for a treat, but most often we just drive back to Pleasant Grove.
4:00pm Help the older boy with his homework while the other boy watches Chuggington and plays with cars some more.
4:30pm I discuss tomorrow's schedule with the lady I work for and I drive home.
5:30pm Greet my sleepy husband at home and then make dinner. We're not amazing cooks. We usually have riceroni, pizza benders, saimen (sp??) or salad.
6:30pm If it's nice weather Shane and I ride bikes outside.
7:00pm Either watch several tv shows or a movie. We also tidy things up around this time.
8:30pm Get ready for bed.
9:00pm Read scriptures and pray. Shane goes to sleep. I then stay up and play on my phone or watch a movie until around 1:30am when I finally drift off.
Exciting day right? No, we're a boring couple.
But we're so in love. And boring works for us. Yes. :)
I'm sorry you wasted time reading such a dumb post. Now go do something productive.

How to be Happy
Okay, I will admit it. I have always struggled with being happy. I am not social, I am not outgoing, I am not a genius or exciting person. I often look at the negative things and forget the simple yet amazing things around me. I focus and worry too much about what others think about me instead of having fun. Being happy comes so easy for some people, but for me, it's a lot of work.
That being said, I feel the need to make a list. A list of things that make me happy. A list I can look back to when I'm struggling or just feeling down. But the list can't be too complicated, too thought out. The simpler, the better. So here we go. A list of 10 (because no one wants to read more than that,) things that make me happy.
1. The obvious, my husband. He works so hard to make sure I am happy. I need to acknowledge and appreciate him more often, for he is so good to me and loves me so much. I love him too you know.
2. My family. They do so much for me. My parents are always giving me advice, my brothers and sisters are always so willing to hang out or just chat with me, and my nieces who get so excited every time I see them. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life.
3. Crafting, AKA The Wood Connection and Hobby Lobby. I love painting, I love mod podge, and I love ribbon. Making crafts make me happy. Especially when the project is finished and I love it. (See the 'Randall' in the picture? Yeah I made that.)
4. Homemade pizza. Especially when my man puts messages on it.
5. An awesome pair of shoes. Shoes always fit, shoes always look good. Shoes aren't depressing when you have to go up a size, even if it is just because that brand runs small.
6. Warm weather. The warmer, the better. There are so many good things to do in warm weather; picnics, bike rides, boating, etc. Pure bliss it is.
7. Entertainment. I love music; The Weepies, Joshua Radin, Mika, etc. I love movies; 500 Days of Summer, Like Crazy, I'm Reed Fish, etc. I love TV; Malcolm in The Middle, Grounded for Life, Community, etc. Entertainment is good.
8. Vacations. They can be last minute, planned forever, far away or really close. I don't care. A vacation is a vacation. They are always adventurous.
9. Making treats. I haven't done anything in a very very long time, (awww that makes me sad.) But I love chocolate dipping and decorating things. See that picture down there? Those are plain wafer cookies that I did all by myself. Not pro, but not bad.
10. Diet Coke, need I say more?
Well that wasn't simple at all. I apologize for the lengthiness.

Fantastic Month!
April has been a great month so far for us! I got a job, but not just a job, a job that I wanted so bad and enjoy so much! I get to be a nanny, (see previous post!)
Shane restored his old 80's bike; new seat, handles, paint, the works. He worked hard on it and it looks amazing! Since he got to fix up his bike, we bought me a brand new bicycle. It's adorable and has a basket, my favorite part! We ride them around the apartments often and have so much fun!
The night before Easter I couldn't sleep. Seriously. I was so excited it was ridiculous. I watched several movies in bed until I finally drifted off. In the morning I told Shane I hid 100 eggs around the apartment and he had to find them. He groggily came out of the bedroom and found this instead:
100 eggs, each with a piece of candy and slip with something I love about him on it. We went through them together and I explained each slip to him. I was so tired though that half of what I was saying didn't make sense; I wish I would have recorded this moment because it was truly hilarious. You'll just have to trust me here.
After the eggs, Shane gave me my basket. It had a note, diet coke, and little sock monkey in it. I was confused because he had talked Easter up SO much. But I understood once I read the note. He had hid the main part of my basket in the apartment and I had to find it with clues.
I went through 5 clues, and then I found it. . .
We are a little ridiculous and kinda go super overboard on holidays. . . haha. Ever since we started dating I have been telling Shane how much I want a candy machine. I just think they're awesome! Seriously, it was like Christmas. After I finished squealing and laughing of excitement, I gave Shane his basket. Not as awesome as my "basket," but still pretty cool.
He loved it. :)
Well since Easter I have probably spent at least $5 in quarters on my awesome candy machine. I can't help it, it sits in our family room and begs for me to use it, so of course I have to take just a couple quarters from our laundry money and get some candy. (And Shane won't let me know where the key to it is, so I HAVE to use money if I want candy.)
It looks great in our family room, don't you think?

My Dream Job
Don't make fun of me, but ever since I saw the movie The Nanny Diaries, I have always wanted to become a nanny. I also love children and I want to be around them all the time! I've done preschools, day cares, summer camps, etc. but I have never been a nanny. I guess I've just never had the opportunity. So when I quit my job in March I felt this was my chance to try to nanny, and if I don't do it now I never will. So I put myself on an amazing website called care.com, (I highly recommend it to anyone interested in child care,) and found an amazing family with two adorable little kids! I started working for them this week and I love it! I have never seen cuter boys before in my life and they are so fun to play with! The parents are also great; very easy to communicate with and I feel very comfortable with them. I am so blessed to have found this family; I know it was an answer to my prayers, and I am so excited to work for them for hopefully a long time!
I love that I can say I love my job again!!
