Anyway, story time!
Yesterday after leaving the doctor's office I ran home to grab some food before leaving for work. I grabbed a piece of bread with some peanut butter on it, a banana, and a bag of grapes, (threw those in my purse for an afternoon snack.) I had parked my car in the driveway instead of pulling into the garage since I'd only be home for a minute, (stupid decision.) The driveway hadn't been shoveled yet so there was a good two inches of snow covering it. I figured I'd be safe because it was snow, not ice. Big mistake! Just as I was getting to my car, my legs whipped out from under me and I fell flat on my butt. My banana slid out of my hand and got buried into the snow, but I somehow managed to save my bread! I called my doctor just to make sure baby would be ok, (and she will be.) But okay now here is where the story gets funny: I was really wet from the snow, but I figured it was only snow so I'd be fine going to work how I was. I was about ten minutes from work when I realized it was not only snow, but my weak pregnancy bladder had caused some. . .uh. . .yeah you know! (Stupid bladder!) I turned around, drove the twenty minutes back to my house to change, and then, forever later, finally made it to work.
The lesson I learned from that experience: Always keep a change of clothes in my car and don't assume snow isn't slippery.
Because of the fall yesterday, I'm aching today. Sore hips, sore bottom, and I just feel achy and sore everywhere. I can't wait to get home and just relax and take it easy for the rest of the night, (thank goodness I don't work tonight!)
